Every so often I meet a couple, or in this case a bride, that I just have to work with. There’s that instant click, that chemistry, the similar tastes, shared laughs and just a knowing that we’d be the perfect match. That’s what I felt when I first met with Kathryn and her Mother at our consultation. If we’d been at a speed dating event I would have written down checked MUST GET DATE WITH HER on my slip of paper. I was giddy with excitement when they did end up booking me and we’ve become good friends since then and being a part of their big day has been nothing short of amazing.
Kathryn and Chris’s wedding at the St. Regis was amazing, elegant, and so beautifully classic. Kat looked so stunning in her Kenneth Pool wedding gown. The intricate details and box pleats were to die for.
Kat was all smiles on her wedding day because Kerrie of Platinum Weddings by Kerrie was there to make sure everything ran smoothly!
The view from Kat’s bridal suite. It was mostly overcast with bits of sun peaking out here and there. It made of soft lighting which is always great to shoot in.
Are these flower girls not the most darling little girls, ever?
I really loved that Kat and her sister took the time to help their mother get dressed up for the day. Here’s she’s putting on gold Tiffany’s earrings which were a gift from Kat’s Father.
These girls were so precious. One lost steam and napped in the arms of Chris’s Mom. So so so sweet.
Kat, you are so gorgeous!
One last spritz of parfum and we were good to go!
Jen, who is my second shooter for this year captured these great shots of Chris and the guys getting ready.
A few gifts from Kat to Chris. One included the boudoir album I put together from Kat’s session with me. I’m not sure, but based off that smile I think Chris loved it. *wink*
We had such a beautiful first look location and amazing light too! Probably one of my favorite series for a first look, the grand staircase just makes it.
Chris brought along his gift for Kathryn, a diamond horseshoe pendant from Tiffany’s. I thought it was a sweet way to start off their marriage…with good luck!
Boys will be boys. Tuxes and all. Jen captured these while I was shooting portraits and I laughed out loud going through them.
Love this moment between Chris and his Mother. 🙂
Their cake was designed to look like Kathryn’s dress!
Kathryn and Chris, I am so honored to have been part of your new life together! I wish you two all the best that life has to offer and I’ll see you two in a few years to photograph your beautiful babies! 🙂
A big huge thank you goes out to Jen Laurent Grant and Maiko of Flurrsprite Photography for second shooting and assisting me! I love my team and am so happy to have you both as friends!
