Grace and Sam had a beautiful, fun filled wedding with 400 of their closest family and friends in attendance. If the guest count isn’t indicative to what great people both Grace and Sam are, I’ll tell you myself; they are two of the warmest, most down to earth, good hearted people you will ever meet. I love being able to witness my couples amongst their loved ones because it just gives me a better glimpse of who they are and why I love them so much. I even got to see Amaree and Erik whose wedding I shot last year, the officiant of Cynthia and Ron’s wedding who was a guest came up to say hi to me, and an old Church friend of mine was also at at their wedding. Talk about 6 degrees of separation!
Paola of Just Chic Events and her crew did an incredible job coordinating the day. I can’t express what a huge difference it makes to the bride and groom as well as all your vendors to have a wedding coordinator. It’s less stess for the couple, less work for their family and friends, and everything just runs more smoothly when you let the pro’s handle the nitty gritty details and unexpected issues that pop up on your day. And a big thank you to Jeret, Ming and Duke for shooting with me and manning the photo booth for me that day. You guys are the best!
Grace’s super fab shoes. You know she’ll be wearing these again and again.
Loved the bright pops of colors in the girls’ bouquets. Photo by Jeret.
The girls and man of honor helped Grace into her exquisite Amsale gown. I have to be honest and say that as a girlie girl, I LOVE seeing the dress and shoes my brides have chosen for their big day. Seriously, I ooh and ahh and get all giddy seeing my brides get all dolled up.
My view on the left and a shot that Jeret got on the right.
And although I don’t get all giddy seeing the guys dressed to the nines, the guys always clean up really well too. The bride and groom looking their very best on their big day.
Grace and Sam opted for a First Look which we took on the Luau Grounds at The Castaway. It’s rumored that Jay Leno had his retirement party there the night before.
I really love that Grace and Sam both included their dearest friends into their wedding party regardless of whether or not they were male of female. That is all sorts of awesome and I loved witnessing the dynamic between all the friends. It was so fun, so sweet, and so endearing. And how yummy are the yellow bridesmaid dresses and gum drop colored earrings?
Ok, so I had to check out some of my other pictures from the wedding to make sure I didn’t do something weird to make the groomsman on the far left look so big, but nope. He really is that tall.
They gave each other a high five before sealing the deal with a big kiss!
The new Mr. and Mrs. I love capturing the bride and groom at the end of the ceremony.
A couple of the details that Jeret got while I shot the family formals.
They had such a fun Grand Entrance! Check out the custom Nike’s Sam had made for his friends.
There’s the tall groomsman again, making Sam work for that high five. Love it!
This little cutie was quite the popular one at the reception. She partied it up with the adults and got passed around like a hot potato. And I must know who makes her adorable jammies and where I can get one for Ellie! It’s so unbelievably cute! It’s covered in little bunnies!
We went out again at the end of the day to take some more bride and groom portraits. I’m so glad Grace and Sam were game for this!
Then Jeret and I switched lenses (my 85 1.2 with his 135 2.0) to have some fun. I have to say, my must buy lens list is getting a little out of control. But check out the bokeh in this next shot. I am in love!
Congratulations, Grace and Sam! I loved capturing your wedding day as it was filled with so much beauty, love, silly moments, and care.
