I have this thing for laughs. I love big laughs, quirky laughs, laughs that are infectious and real. When I think of Heather and Dan, all I can see are their big smiles, big laughs, and their infectious joy. You can’t be around them without picking up on their energy. Having spent the day with them on their wedding day with both their families, I learned where the two got their awesome outlook on life and wicked sense of humor. Heather and Dan’s wedding day was filled with so much joy and laughter, as well as tears. It was an emotionally packed day that I absolutely loved capturing for them.
Big thanks to my dear friends Jen Lauren Grant for second shooting with me and to Maiko Mitchem for assisting me at my weddings! Love you guys! 🙂
I love the bright bows on Heather’s Kate Spade heels, the soft flower in her hair, as well as the delicate and sparkly belt that she wore with her dress. I have a thing for pretty details!
The flower girls’ dresses were beyond amazing. Layers and layers of fluffy pink tulle swirled around the girls all day long. The girls absolutely loved their dresses.
Heather made a stunning bride and it was so fun having the little girls there. They were completely enamored by the bride and so excited to be there to witness the big getting ready part of the day. Even Ellie has a fascination with brides. She was sitting on my lap earlier as I was getting this post ready to post and she oohed and aahed over Heather’s dress and said she liked her hair flower. So cute! I bought Ellie a large cream colored flower for her hair and whenever she wears it, she says she’s getting married. 🙂
Heather and Dan did their first look in the rooftop suite which I thought was intimate and special since it was just them two (and me!).
The happy couple looking oh so fine on their big day.
Did I not mention that Heather has the most amazing smile and laugh? Love it.
Some of the many, many, many wonderful details at the reception and ceremony! It was such a charming wedding!
You know the moment you meet these two and their families, just how close knit they are and how much family means to them. I really loved that Heather and Dan created this clothesline of images of their family members on their wedding day. Guests would gather and say, “look, there’s auntie!” or “Wow, look at Mom and Dad!” It was pretty amazing to witness their trips down memory lane.
Dan’s vows to Heather were some of the most thoughtful and touching that I’ve ever heard. I kept thinking, not that is a man. That is who a husband should be. I know the two of them are going to have an amazing new life together!
One of my favorite moments of the wedding day is when the bride and groom are announced as husband and wife for the first time!
Heather and Dan, thank you both for having me at your wedding to document such beautiful moments for you and your families. You are so perfect for each other and I know you two are going to have an amazing, joy and laughter filled life together! Love you guys!
