Jennifer and Anthony married in an elegant, fun filled wedding with amazing details in Pasadena. The love and support the two of share with each other and with their family and friends was so apparent and was such a blessing for me to witness and capture. I truly believe that Jennifer’s Mom, who recently suffered a stroke and was not able to attend their wedding, was there in the love shared between all and in each embrace shared. I have never been so humbled and to witness so much love and grace. It was a joyous, touching, meaningful and beautiful event. I feel so blessed to have been able to capture these images for Jennifer and Anthony, two of the sweetest people you will ever meet.
Jennifer wore this stunning Pronovias gown that looked amaaaaaazing on her.
Sparkly Jimmy Choos to put a little twinkle in her steps. I loved the delicate details on Jennifer’s dress.
Jennifer made such a stunning bride. I could have spent hours photographing the getting ready details and portraits. And I adore how dreamy and timeless my images look on film.
Isn’t she so beautiful? And not only that we had some amazing light to shoot in.
I loved the soft whites, creams and whisper pinks of Jen’s bouquet.
Jen had these necklaces custom made for her bridesmaids and that looked amazing with their dresses.
I loved the braid in Jennifer’s hair so so much! It’s unexpected, playful and kept her look modern and youthful.
I captured this sweet little flower girl hanging out in front of the church.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when Jennifer and her Dad walked down the aisle together.
Jennifer and Anthony were married by a pastor who is close to her family. He actually used to babysit Jennifer when she was a child and I found it incredibly moving to have been married by someone who has witness you grow into adulthood.
One of my favorite moments to capture is the walk back up the aisle as husband and wife. There’s so much joy and energy!
After a lunch reception where I had the most amazing home cooked Vietnamese food (thanks Jen’s Dad!) we all headed over to Pasadena’s City Hall for some portraits. Jeret captured this next one with his Canon 45mm tilt shift. After playing around with his lens for a little bit I ended up buying one for myself!
The light at City Hall is magical. All those archways and light bouncing off the white walls makes for some amazing portraits wouldn’t you say?
Some of my favorite portraits from their day! There are a lot of them, I just couldn’t narrow it down…this next one makes me so happy!
I found this beautiful patch of light and greenery in the courtyard by the hotel! It was so perfect!
Anthony definitely knows how to work it for the camera. He looks so handsome and happy in these next two portraits!
Jennifer and Anthony’s dessert bar is one of the cutest I’ve ever seen. Mini kettle corn, powdered donuts, cake pops, mini cupckaes, pearlized chocolate, and rock candy amongst other goodies! It was really, really hard to not sample everything on the table while shooting the details. But we were good and refrained! 🙂
Everyone’s grand entrance was unique and fun!
They played some really fun games that had their guests shaking their booties, laughing out loud, and cheering on the madness. It was so much fun!
Jennifer fell in love with this gorgeous sparkly dress, but had already purchased another as her second dress to change into. Her lovely bridesmaids surprised Jen on the morning of her wedding with the dress that she fell in love with. How incredibly touching is that? And let me tell you, Jen looked amazing in it and the sparkles thrown off that dress …. so unreal! She looked beyond gorgeous and lit up the room in it.
Apparently, this guy was singled out to catch the garter. Everyone was in on it and he was placed front and center. Hey, no pressure or anything!
But then he missed the catch and the garter hit the floor. Loved Anthony’s reaction to it. I still laugh out loud when I look at this picture!
