There were so many similarities. The day we met up for our initial consult we were both heading out to a wedding immediately afterward, but for two different couples. I was almost convinced that we’d be attending the same wedding though. They’re a Korean/Taiwanese couple like me and Jeff. Eddie’s moves on Jessica were about as smooth as Jeff’s moves to woo me, complete with gangsta talk on Jeff’s part. And Jessica loves to read as much as I do. Neither of us are really tv people. And then there’s the love of food! Jessica and Eddie love good food and I’ve been told on multiple occasions that I look sooo happy when I eat. So it was no surprise that the day of their engagement session there were lots of laughs, some yummy treats, and great stories to be told over dinner afterwards.
We met up at Occidental College where the two of them met and fell in love. It’s a small, but gorgeous little campus with lots of neat little places to shoot. I loved walking the grounds with Jessica and Eddie and hearing stories of their past. This is the bench where we’d have serious discussions, the awesome ice cream at the cafe shop, how it was commonplace for another student to “pay” for your meal with unused credits, where they had their first class. It was a little trip back in time for them and a little glimpse into their history for me.
Jessica and Eddie are such a cute, laid back couple. They were easy to laugh and so fun to be around!
French macrons were involved in Eddie’s proposal to Jessica so it was only fitting that they brought along a box for their engagement session. Don’t they look delish? I love how the flavors coordinate with their outfits. I’m hoping these macarons will be present at their wedding some how. 🙂
Not only are these two silly and fun, they can throw a fierceness to the wind and give me a completely different mood for images like this one below.
Eddie loves the movie Zoolander which is seriously, my twin brother’s favorite movie. We’ll be in the car driving and he’ll have complete monologues with himself in different characters, quoting scenes verbatim. Then he gets mad at me when I can’t do the same. I think Eddie and my brother must have been made from the same mold. Because Eddie also loves the movie and knew exactly what to do when I told him to give me El Tigre. Rowr!
Jessica is so beautiful. I love these looks she gives.
We ended the session with a little treat!
Afterwards they took me to one of their old haunts, Spitz where they treated me to some really amazing doner kabob sandwiches, sweet potato fries, and gelato! It was one of the best meals I had in weeks! Thanks you two for the laughs, the fun and the good food! You guys are definitely my kind of people!
