I love shooting family sessions that are a little different. Linda of Grand Soirees told me a while back that she’s always wanted to do a cozy bedroom family session with her family. When I booked my swanky hotel room for my last boudoir session I knew it’d be perfect for Linda’s family session idea! Big huge white bed with modern headboard? Yes, please! Margaret of Muse Makeup Artistry was on hand for Linda’s hair and makeup. I love how pretty, yet perfectly tousled she looked for her session.
While Mommy was getting beautified I used the time to take some portraits of cute little Sophie. Her Mom has such amazing taste and found this cute little tutu outfit for Sophie to wear! Isn’t it adorable? I love little babies in big bed shots.
Little Sophie on the move!
I decided that Sophie needed some girlie pigtails for this session. I remember how excited I was when I was finally able to pull Ellie’s hair into little pigtails. They’re just so cute! I’m not sure Sophie was sold on them quite yet though. It’s as if she’s saying, “What? You didn’t like my hair before?”
We may have a little photographer in the making here because she was enchanted by my big camera and kept trying grab it from me.
Baby feet are just about the cutest things ever. Add a little frilly pink tutu and ….bam!….cuteness overload!
Here’s Linda, Kevin and little Sophie. They are the most doting parents ever and I love watching them interact with their little baby. Don’t they make such a beautiful family?
And this last one I dubbed “Baby Boudoir.” Doesn’t it look like she’s posing for me? Yes, I crack myself up.
