I am so in love with this entire session and have been dying to share it with you all. Sherri and Patrick contacted me not too long ago inquiring about an engagement session. They are still in the process of narrowing down their venue choices, but wanted to do their engagement session right away so that they could share the photos with Sherri’s great grandmother who, if I rememeber correctly, is 99 years old and won’t be able to make the trip half way across the world to be at their wedding. It’s just their way of including her which is so thoughtful of them!
Sherri emailed me stories and pictures of her and Patrick as well as their adorable dog Kujo so by the time we met for their session I felt like we were old friends. Not only are these two incredibly beautiful, they are so sweet and easy going. When our original location didn’t work out, Sherri and Patrick were fine with where ever I decided to take them. They trusted me and I loved them all the more for it! We started off in these groves of trees where the light and mood was romantic. Sherri brought her Mom along (who honestly looked like she could be Sherri’s sister!) to watch Kujo when we weren’t using him in our shoot and so she gets a shout out and thank you too! Thank you Mrs. Z!
There were so many different places to shoot in this one area that gave us completely different looks. I loved it!
Aren’t the colors and the tall grass just so dreamy? I want to say it’s one of my favorites, but I have a million favorites from their session. It was really hard for me to narrow these down.
Even though Sherri and Patrick were all dolled up, there were totally game for laying in fields, traversing over rocks, and stomping through waist high fields. I’d say it was pretty worth it. I love these next two!
We had to include their baby Kujo in some of their shots and I have to say he makes a good doggie model. He’s quite the handsome little guy.
At the shoot I also found out that I shot one of her friend’s weddings last year (Caroline & Giulio’s) and that Sherri went to high school with a photographer friend of mine. Hi Hannah! And Sherri also told me that she had found my work a few years ago and had been a huge fan ever since. I love that!
They made my job so easy. I’m so looking forward to shooting their wedding next year! I know with Sherri’s style it’s going to be amazing. She sent me a photo of her in her dress and it’s to die for! I love when I get sneak peeks into the weddings I’ll be shooting! I sit there at my desk oohing and ahhing and get super excited along with them.
I shot some film at this session as well. Just need to send it in to Richard Photo Lab, so be on the lookout for more of Sherri and Patrick in the near future! Thanks you guys for rockin’ this session and for being so sweet and fun! I’m so looking forward to your wedding! Kisses to Kujo for me!
