Connie and I knew each other online for years before we actually met in person for the first time at my house for a ‘Mommy and me’ play date with our babies. Not only that, we had mutual friends in common and over the years our paths would cross, but our face to face meeting didn’t happen for a while. But once we met, our friendship grew and I couldn’t have asked for a better friend. She’s selfless, crazy, honest and fun. I love her and her son Trystan is the coolest, cutest kid on the block! You know what else is cute? Our husbands are now friends and they have ‘Daddy and me’ days where they hang out together with the babies when Connie and I are away or working. I love this family to bits! And I’m so glad I could capture these memories for them.
Thank you Margaret for beautifying Connie for her family session!
If you know this family, you’ll know how active they are. Connie completed her parasailing course and went on her first solo flight this past summer! Connie and Sean fly down black diamond trails. They hike and camp (for reals). They race their cars at the track. And at one point they were both riding motorcycles….and that’s just the beginning! So I love how their family session turned out because it’s so them.
I think Trystan is going to grow up with his parents’ adventurous spirit. He’s already quite athletic and a bit of a dare devil. I love a rough and tumble boy. And I feel like I should add a disclaimer that no babies were harmed in the making of these photos. Connie and Sean are the best parents ever to their little boy. They let him explore his world without being a helicopter parent. They make everything fun, but set clear boundaries. And they’re both so very affectionate with their son. It’s awesome.
Isn’t Trystan such a cutie? He danced up a storm for us here on the bridge.
But don’t let the cute exterior fool you. This kid has more swagger than most men I know.
Meet the newest member of their family: Jack. He’s a Great Pyrenese puppy. Yes, puppy. I have a feeling that Jack, when full grown, is going to be tipping the scales at 120+ lbs. I think he was only 13 weeks old when these photos were taken.
I also did a session with Connie’s little sister’s family the same day which I’ll post in a separate entry, but here’a sneak peak of the little cousins together. Aren’t they so cute?
