Holidays are so much more fun when you have a child because you want to make each one special and memorable for your little one. I met up with some Mommy friends at Irvine Regional Park with our kids for their annual Halloween Pumpkin Patch. We took a train ride through the park, took pictures at the pumpkin patch, jumped in the bounce house, lunched on the grass, and rode little ponies. It was a fun morning and Ellie konked out as soon as I put her in the car seat to go home. As a working Mom it’s hard to be able to make most of my friends’ play dates, but it’s so awesome when your friends are willing to work around your schedule.
All of these were shot on my Contax 645 on Fuji 400H film and developed by the fine peeps over at my lab of choice, Richard Photo Lab!
Trystan on the left is such a dare devil while Ellie is at the complete opposite end of the spectrum as she’s always cautious and careful. I hope one day she catches a bit of the adventurous side in me and has the courage to try and master new things.
My gorgeous friend Katherine and her handsome son Nathan.
Poor Ellie was a bit overwhelmed when we first arrived at the park with all these kids. It’s kind funny that none of the children except Ellie is paying attention to the camera/me.
That little tank dress she’s wearing? It’s for a baby half her age, but I couldn’t get over how cute it was and bought it anyways thinking maybe Ellie could wear it as a tunic and it worked out. Why do they have to make kids clothes so cute? I can’t stop shopping for Ellie.
Doesn’t this next one just melt your heart? It’s so amazing to watch your little ones grow up with their friends. We first met Trystan and his Mommy when Ellie was about 3 months old and now seeing them share snacks and play together and hug each other goodbye…. so priceless.
