Welcome to my Blog!

I'm a simple person who loves photographing people and spending time with my husband and two little girls, Ellie (4) and Emmeline (1). My girls are my world and every day I wonder how I became so blessed to be their Mama.

When I'm not behind the camera I love to knit and sew cute things for my girls and bake cookies. My husband likes to say I'm a granny at heart, but I like to say I'm a woman of many talents. ;)

I also enjoy snowboarding, traveling and immersing myself in books. One day I will conquer Cornice and get down without snowplowing my way. I dream of traveling to Greece, Italy and Paris one day, but I have yet to convince the husband that traveling abroad with two little ones would be aweome. I'd also love to go camping and show my girls the joys of a perfectly toasted marshmallow and walking barefoot through an icy cold creek bed. And although I said it would never happen, I now read most of my books on my iPhone or iPad instead of a book. Have kids and you'll soon realize the gift of a built in light and always having your book with you.

I'm based in Orange County, California and ocassionally travel for shoots.

Turnip Rose Wedding: Susan & James

I’ve been so anxious to get my film back for Susan and James’s wedding, it was that beautiful. I fell immediately in love with Susan’s Pronovias gown and her Valentino shoes. They were absolutely to die for and Susan looked so stunning on her wedding day. I found it touching that both Susan and James individually admitted their nervousness prior to seeing each other for the first time and loved how relaxed and happy they become once they were together.

Christine of Se La Ve did an amazing job coordinating the day and I’m so looking forward to working with her again. A big thank you to Jordana and Amber for second shooting and assisting me at Susan and James’s wedding. Love you girls! Be sure to check out their work as well!

Susan’s soon to be sister in law helped Susan get ready. Don’t you love the bold floral bridesmaid dress from JCrew? The girls all looked so great in them.

Susan designed the invitation suite based off the bridesmaids dresses. Love the bright watercolor flowers accenting each page.

Jordana started off with James and the guys while I started with the bride.

James’s father helping him get suited up.

James makes one handsome groom!

I’m always happy when my couples trust me. I’d spotted this area on the drive in and asked Susan and James if they’d stand in some bushes for me and they readily agreed and I’m so glad they did! I love these!

Weeping willows make the best trees ever. And I still can’t get over how pretty the colors are on film.

We headed over to the Turnip Rose in Newport for some more portraits.

Loving the emotions in these next two where Susan and James honor and thank their parents.

James never ceases to surprise me. I mentioned in their engagement post that he had me laughing throughout the shoot with his humor, but he’s also got mad swagger. Now that is what I call a kiss! And just wait until you see some of the reception images. 🙂

I loved their first dance! The twinkle lights in the ceiling were a nice touch.

There was a dance off at the reception which ended up with guys doing flips and crazy break dancing moves. Crazy!

And seriously? Best. Garter. Retrieval. Ever. James, you’re awesome. I know that you and Susan are going to share a life full of adventure and laughs.
