I know I’ve been MIA lately. Bad Sarah, Bad! Not only is it peak wedding season, but while researching and getting bids for new flooring for our house which we planned on starting this winter, we came upon such an incredible deal that we ended up jumping on it. Like signed the papers, paid the deposit, moved all our furniture, painted, and started the demolision in just a few days…and here we are. Our entire downstairs (office, family room, living room, dining room and kitchen) is basically sitting in our garage or master bedroom. It was crazy working, moving everything, and then of course I decided that since we had all the furniture moved out that we should paint my office! So after putting Ellie to bed, there we were painting my office in the middle of the night. They started work the following day and I HOPE TO GOD they finish this Monday. Living with torn up floors, dust, all our belongings in the garage with a stir crazy toddler? Not that fun. Thankfully, my in laws have watched her and Akira for us often this past week! Thank you!
I promise to be back to work in the next day or so. Thanks so much for your patience!
In the mean time, you know what I got to do on this little reprieve from work? I, along with some brave industry friends took a trapeze class at Hollywood Aerial Arts in Inglewood. It was the craziest, scariest, funnest thing I’ve ever done. If you haven’t seen the video on my facebook page already, go check it out!
The adrenaline rush had us shaking after each flight, but you couldn’t help but be incredibly proud of yourself for facing your fears and accomplishing tricks you never knew possible. Jump off a super high platform, swing upside down from your knees and then do a back flip dismount? Ha! You think to yourself that the instructor has lost his marbles, because doesn’t he know I sit on my butt all day on the computer? Shopping at the mall tires me out! And you want me to do what?? But they walk you through it. The best advice is the trust yourself, to just try, don’t think and just listen. It’s awesome. I highly recommend it to everyone! I’m already planning to go back with some other friends!
Ok, promise I’ll be back shortly with lots of new weddings to share!
